This sizer looks as though it was painted with a shaker can. If you've ever had a problem with shell fits or gun jams, it is highly likely that you have resizing problems. This tool resizes the brass section of hulls to original factory specifications, which will allow them to drop easily into chambers and feed through magazines. All of my older MEC items have a nice even subdued coat of paint. The Super Sizer is an essential tool for proper shotshell resizing. I gave it a 4 stars for this reason alone. If I had one knock on this particular sizer it would be the paint job. Eight steel fingers encircle the base and apply even pressure until the base is reshaped back to its original size.

Update conventional reloaders with MEC's exclusive Power-Ring collet resizing device. To me steel on steel is always a bad idea and will eventually lead to tooling wear. Super Sizer Resize shells for the most exacting shotguns. I never have been, and never will be a fan of steel case heads, but if I have to size one I would much rather compress the case head with the collet versus ring sizing. One other big advantage that comes into play is when there is a need to size steel case heads. I'm not a metallurgist but it is my believe the collet work hardens the casehead less than does ring sizing.
With the pre-sized casehead the amount of force require to run the PW press is greatly reduced. The Super Sizer can update conventional reloaders with MECs. With the collet die I can literally undersize the brass in comparison to the ID of the Ponsness Warren shell holders. 410 Bore - 8119410 - The radical new system will re-size shells for the most exacting shotguns.
