success story of entrepreneurship

We're building up a good savings and my 4 kids can live a decent life. Yeah I'm over 40, but I feel like my career is just starting now. I feel like it's better to follow the money, then you have extra resources to follow whatever passion you want on the side.

A lot of people will say 'follow your passion.' but I don't know about it. They were all experiences and they trained me in various ways, and I made lots of friends. It's not the prettiest story, but looking back nothing I did was worthless. I just landed a big role (I'm currently in New Orleans filming) where I will play various villains in a new TV series. I worked on a few series like Walking Dead, Roswell etc. I trained with them, I made contacts and eventually landed some stunt roles. The pay is already fantastic, with residuals on top of that.

I hooked up with some friends I knew in the movie stunt business. I don't really have a passion, so I decided to find something purely profitable. I didn't want to just be a homemaker dad my whole life. My wife is way more stable and went straight for her CPA. We started having kids and my income wasn't gonna cut it. We traveled a lot together with our wedding money, then when we tried settling down I did various work from photography (real estate and new vehicles) to proofreading/editing, working as a bellman, even selling a lot of stuff on ebay/amazon.

I ended up in entertainment and even landed a good stage show at EPCOT. I followed my brother to the theme parks in Disney. Nothing really stuck.Ĭame back home, worked odd jobs, built websites, trying to see if anything clicked. I then did a working holiday in Australia and volunteered at some hostels in Europe. I worked in a few countries but felt unfulfilled. Well, I had nothing to do but that degree helped me land an English teaching job in Asia. Even when I went to college I took the easy way out I majored in a generic 'Bachelor of Univeristy Studies' degree. I never new what the hell I wanted to do.
